Drugs seizure Palmerstown Dublin 17th April 2015

As part of ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the West Dublin area Gardaí from the Ronanstown Drugs Unit have seized cocaine with an estimated value €80,000, pending analysis.

The drugs were seized during the planned search of a premises at Whitethorn Cresent, Palmerstown, Dublin 20 on Friday evening 17th April 2015. A small amount of cannabis herb was also seized during this search.

A man, 25 years, was arrested at the scene and detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. He has since been released from Garda custody without charge. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
