The injured child is a girl and not a boy as previously stated in Press Release.
Gardaí at Cabra in Dublin are investigating a serious hit & run collision which occurred on the North Road, Phoenix Park at approximately 6.25pm this evening (6/4/15)
A 2 year old girl was struck by a car which failed to stop at the scene. The child was removed to the Children’s University Hospital, Temple Street in a serious condition.
A 24 year old man was arrested a short time later in relation to this incident and is currently detained at Cabra Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Investigations are continuing.
