Fatal road traffic collision on Ennis Road, Limerick on the 27/9/14

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the Ennis Road in Limerick this morning, 27th September 2014, at 6.45am.

A 27 year old man, who was walking along the hard shoulder of the road, was struck by a truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured.

The road at the scene is closed pending an examination of the area by Garda forensic collision investigators.
