Gardaí at Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the N16 at Diffreen, Manorhamilton at approximately 10am this morning Thursday 30th October, 2014.
Three cars and one rigid bodied lorry were in collision at the above location. A male driver in his 40’s of one of the cars was seriously injured and taken to Sligo Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.A total of seven people including the deceased were taken to Sligo Regional Hospital.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a Garda forensic examination, local diversions are in place.
