Man charged in connection with robbery Enniscorthy County Wexford 22nd November 2014

Gardaí have charged a man, 32 years, in connection with an investigation into the robbery of a newsagents shop in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, which occurred on Saturday 22nd November 2014 shortly after 5pm.

The man is due to appear before a special sitting of Gorey District Court this evening Sunday 23rd November 2014 at 8pm.
 
The man, who was arrested and detained at Wexford Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, remains in Garda custody.
 
A man entered the shop, allegedly armed with a knife, threatened staff and left the scene with a large amount of cash. He was arrested a short time later. Gardaí have recovered an amount of cash.
