Drug Seizure Caherciveen 30th May, 2014

As part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs, Gardai at Caherciveen have seized cannabis plants at two adjoining properties in Caherciveen.

Gardai from Caherciveen searched two houses in the Caherciveen area at approximately 6.30 p.m. yesterday evening Friday 30th May, 2014. During the course of the search, a total of some 250 plants in various stages of growth were present at the two properties. The cannabis plants have an estimated street value, pending analysis of up to €200,000. No arrests were made and investigations are contining.

These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities.
