Witness Appeal - Serious assault in Ravensdale, Crumlin on the 25/3/14

Gardaí in Crumlin investigating a serious assault on a member of An Garda Siochana which occurred at Ravensdale Park, Crumlin, Dublin 12, on Tuesday 25th March 2014 wish to appeal for witnesses.

At approximately 8pm a Detective Garda attached to Sundrive Road was assaulted when investigating an incident at Ravensdale Park.  

He was brought to St James Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He has since been released.  

Gardai are interested in speaking to anybody who was in Ravensdale Park or the surrounding areas between 7.30pm and 9.15pm on the 25/3/2014 or anybody who may have information in relation to this incident.

 In particular gardai would like to speak to a number of potential witnesses. A woman, who was pushing a pram with a child in it in the park around the time of this incident and 2 men, described as wearing suits and coming from work, in the area at the time of the incident.

One of these men exited Ravensdale Park at the entrance beside the KCR Builder providers at around 7.45pm. The other entered Ravendale Park through the Kimmage Rd West entrance and walked down the walkway through the park sometime between between 7.50pm and 8.30pm.
