Drug seizure and arrest in Co. Tipperary on the 29/7/14

Gardaí have arrested a male and seized drugs as part of an ongoing investigation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Co. Tipperary.

Heroine, amphetamine and cannabis with a combined estimated street value of  €40,000 (pending analysis) was seized when uniform Gardaí and members of the Divisional Drugs Unit searched a house in Thurles yesterday evening (29/7/2014). A male aged in his 30s was arrested at the scene. He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Thurles Garda Station. (He can be detained for up to seven days).

The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.
