Update - Discovery of body and arrest in North Wall, Dublin on the 26/2/14

A 36-year-old male is expected to appear before a sitting of Dublin District Court (Criminal Courts of Justice 2) tomorrow morning (28/2/2014) charged in connection with this investigation.

Gardai in Store Street Garda Station are investigating the discovery of a body of man in his early 40's at a derelict building on North Wall Quay, Dublin 1 shortly after 10.45pm last night Wednesday 26th February 2014.

A second man (late 20s) was also found at the scene and removed to the Mater Hospital where he is being treated for non life threatening injuries.


Gardai have arrested a man (late 30s) at scene and he is currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.


The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the body remains at the scene.


The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
