Gardaí have this afternoon, Saturday 27th December 2014, charged a man, aged in his 50’s, in connection with an investigation into a serious stabbing incident which occurred at a house in Kilnaleck, County Cavan on Wednesday 24th December 2014.
The man is due to appear before a special sitting of Cavan District Court this evening, Saturday 27th December 2014, at 5pm.
The man was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Cavan Garda Station. He remains in Garda custody.
