Serious Stabbing Incident - North Strand, Dublin 1 . Sunday August 17th 2014

Gardaí at Mountjoy in Dublin are investigating a serious stabbing incident which occurred at North Strand, Dublin 1 at approximately 10.45pm last night (17/8/14).

A 45 year old man received a number of stab wounds when he was attacked at the above location by another male. The injured man was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin where his condition is described as critical.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Mountjoy Garda Station on 01- 666 8600, the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Investigations are continuing.
