Gardaí are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the N59, ( Galway-Clifton Road) in the village of Moycullen, (Maigh Cuilinn), on Saturday 2nd August 2014 at approximately 4.30am.
A female, mid 50's, was fatally injured when the vehicle she was driving collided with a wall. A male passenger, early 50's, was not seriously injured. The deceased was removed to University Hospital Galway. A post mortem is to be arranged. The injured male was also taken to University Hospital Galway.
The road at the scene is closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.
