Fatal Road Traffic Collision Charlestown Co.Mayo 3rd August 2014

Gardaí in Charlestown are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the N17, at Lurga, Charlestown Co.Mayo between 7.30am and 8am this morning, 3rd August 2014.

A female in her twenties, was fatally injured when the vehicle she was driving collided with a lamppost and a pillar. The woman was pronounced dead at scene and was removed to Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar where a post mortem is to be arranged.

Traffic restrictions are in place at the scene so delays can be expected.
