Drug Seizure in Kilnaleck, Cavan on the 15/8/14

Gardai at Kilnaleck have arrested a man following the discovery of cannabis plants with an approx street value of €100,000.

The discovery was made after a planned search at a premises in Coolkill, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan at 9am approx this morning 15th August 2014.

A 29 year old man was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Cavan Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice Act (Drug Traffiking) 1996. Also discovered were growhouse equipment and other paraphenalia.

The scene is currently preserved for technical examination.
