Witness appeal - Shooting incident in Tallaght, Dublin on the 30/5/13

At approximately 21.50 on the 30th May Gardaí responded to a 999 call regarding a shooting incident at St Dominic's Shopping Centre off Mountain Park Road in Tallaght, Dublin 24.

On arrival Gardaí discovered a 45 year old male suffering from a number of gunshot wounds. Emergency services and Gardaí attended to the male and he was subsequently removed to Tallaght Hospital where he is currently remains in a critical condition.


The scene was immediately sealed off for a full technical examination which is ongoing. Gardaí have appointed a family liaison officer who is dealing with the injured male's immediate family.


Gardaí in Tallaght are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this shooting at St Dominic's Shopping Centre, or who may have seen any suspicious or unusual activity in the vicinity of Mountain Park Road to contact them.
 


They are also appealing to any witness who may have seen a black motorcycle with a driver and pillion passenger wearing  dark clothing in the locale.

Gardai are investigating the circumstances of a shooting incident which occurred in Tallaght on the 30th May 2013.

Shortly before 10 p.m. a male aged in his 40s was shot during an incident outside a shopping centre on St Domnick’s Road. He was taken by Ambulance to Tallaght Hospital.


The scene is preserved pending a technical and forensic examination.
