Robbery of Post Office in Leighlinbridge, Carlow on the 27/3/13 - Court Change

Gardai in Carlow have now been advised that no court is sitting in Kilkenny today

As a result the man charged in relation to the press release below - Ref No: 256/'13 will now appear at Criminal Courts of Justice Number 2 today.

Gardai in Carlow arrested a man in his early 20s following a robbery at a premises yesterday afternoon in Leighlinbridge, Carlow on 27th March, 2013.

At approximately 12.10pm a lone male entered the post office on High Street and threatened a customer with a knife before escaping on foot with an amount of cash. The staff and customers were uninjured.

During a follow up operation a man aged in his 20s was arrested. He was taken to Carlow Garda Station and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He has been charged and will appear before Kilkenny District Court this morning at 10.30a.m. in relation to the incident.
