Drugs seizure and arrest in Navan, Co Meath on the 23/3/13

As part of an on-going investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region the Store Street Drugs Unit carried out a search of a house in the Beechmount area of Navan Co Meath on Saturday 23/3/13.

During the course of the search Cannabis herb (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €90,000 was seized. A 34 year old man was arrested at the scene and was detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, he was subsequently released without charge yesterday (24/3/13) and a file will now be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions. 
 

Investigations are continuing.
