Appeal for Information Re: Stabbing Incident Dundalk 30th March 2013

Gardaí in Dundalk are appealing for witnesses in relation to a serious stabbing incident which occurred at Patrick Street, Dundalk at approximately 6.30pm on Saturday March 30th 2013.

From initial investigations it appears that a 56 year old man was sitting in his grey Renault car at Patrick Street when he was approached by three men, one of these men got into the car and allegedly stabbed the 56 year old man. The three men then fled the scene and ran down Patrick Street towards Del a Sal terrace. The injured man exited his car and entered a Public House for assistance; he then left the Public House and collapsed on the street outside. The injured man was attended to by emergency services and taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
