Witness Appeal - Serious Assault at St. James’s Walk, Rialto on the 9/7/13

Gardai in Kilmainham investigating a serious assault that occurred on St. James’s Walk, Rialto, Dublin wish to appeal for witnesses.

At approximately 5.40pm this evening a male in his early 20’s received serious injuries as a result of an altercation with a second male near the Rialto LUAS stop at St. James’s Walk. 
 

The injured male was taken to St. James’s Hospital where he remains in what is described as a critical but stable condition. An 19 year old male was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Kilmainham Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

 
Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses who may have been on St. James’s Walk, near the Rialto LUAS stop, and witnessed this altercation or who can assist the Gardai with their investigation, to contact Kilmainham Garda Station on 01 – 6669700, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
