Cash-in-transit Robbery in Blanchardstown, Dublin on the 19/7/13

Gardai are appealing for information following a robbery at Blanchardstown Shopping Centre on the 19th July 2013.

At approximately 1320 hours a Security man servicing an A.T.M. (outside of the shopping centre) was struck in the head from behind by a male. A security box containing a large amount of cash was taken by the raider. He made his escape in a dark coloured BMW car driven by a second male.

The Security man was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown. (His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.)

A technical examination of the scene has taken place and investigating Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
