Up date - Fatal road traffic collision on the N65, Tipperary on the 31/1/13

This stretch of road has reopened to traffic following completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardai in Borrisokane are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N65 ( Portumna Road) at the junction near Killeen on the outside of Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary this afternoon at approximately 12.30pm.

A male motorcyclist in his 20’s was fatally injured when he was involved in a collision with a car. The driver of the car was uninjured. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick. 
 

This stretch of road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
