Fatal traffic collision at Naas, Kildare on the 27th January 2013

The Naas to Newbridge lanes of the R445 dual carriageway are currently closed to traffic following a two car fatal collision which occurred at approximately 3.20 a.m. on the 27th January 2013.

A male aged in his mid 20s was taken by ambulance to Naas General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The road remains closed to traffic pending a technical examination and diversions are in place.

The matter has been referred to the Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission.
