Update - Alan Ryan murder investigation

Gardaí investigating the murder of Alan Ryan on the 3rd September 2012 have arrested a male in his 20's.

He was arrested in Artane area of Dublin this afternoon (6th February 2013) and is currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Coolock Garda Station.
 

This is the fourth arrest as part of this investigation.

The men (in their late 20s and late 30s) are being detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Coolock Garda Station.

Gardaí in Coolock investigating the murder of Alan Ryan arrested a man last night (6/9/12) in connection with this investigation.
The man in his late 40's is currently detained at a north city Garda Station under Section 30 Offences against the State 1939.
Investigations are continuing.

Gardai are investigating a shooting incident at Grange Lodge Ave, Clongriffin, Coolock which occurred shortly after 3.30 pm.on the 3rd of September 2012. Two men aged in their 30s suffered gunshot wounds in the incident. One man was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The second man was also taken to Beaumont hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

A burnt out car was discovered a short time later on Hole in the Wall Road. Both scenes are sealed off pending a forensic technical examination.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in either the area of Grange Lodge or Hole in the Wall Road to contact the incident room at Coolock Garda Station on 01 666 4200.
