Two men are expected to appear before a sitting of the Special Criminal Court (Dublin) this evening at 7.30 p.m. (25th February 2013) charged in connection with this investigation.

As part of an ongoing operation into the activities of Dissident Republicans; Gardaí have arrested 2 people in the Dean Rock area of Togher, Co. Cork.
Members from the Detective Unit from Togher Garda Station stopped a vehicle at 4 pm today and arrested the two males in this vehicle.
The two men are currently detained at Togher Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
Two firearms (handguns) were also recovered at the scene and are now subject to technical examination
