Serious injury road traffic collision at Castleblaney, Monaghan on the 7/2/13

Gardai in Castleblaney are investigating a two vehicle serious injury road traffic collision that occurred on the N53, at Maghernakill yesterday evening 7th February 2013 at 6.30 p.m.

A male in his late teen's, who was the sole occupant of the car, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and is described as being in a critical condition. The second driver was taken to Daily Hill Hospital, Newry with minor injuries.


This stretch of the N53 at Maghernakill, is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
