Murder of Roy Collins in Limerick on the 9th April 2009 – Court Appearance

A male in his 20’s and a male in his 30’s are scheduled to appear before The Special Criminal Court this morning, the 22nd February 2013.

They are charged in connection with the murder of Roy Collins in Limerick on the 9th April 2009.

Gardai in Roxboro Road Garda Station are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a man in his late 20's which occurred at a public house in the Roxboro Shopping Centre shortly after midday today 9th April, 2009.

The man was removed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The scene is preserved and the services of the Garda Technical Bureau and the State Pathologist have been requested.

A man in his early 20's has been arrested and is currently detained under Section 50 of Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Roxboro Road Garda Station.
