Two arrested - discovery of oil laundering plant at Macetown, Meath on the 10/12/13

Following a joint intelligence led operation between Revenue & An Garda Síochána an oil laundering plant was discovered at Macetown, Rathfeigh, Co. Meath, this evening, Tuesday, 10th December 2013, where fuel and ancillary equipment was seized.

Gardaí have arrested two males, 19 & 20 years, and they are currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Navan and Ashboune Garda Stations.
 

The unit had the capability of producing 3 million litres of laundered fuel per annum with an estimated loss of 1.5 million euro to the exchequer.
