Serious road traffic collision at Athenry, Co Galway on the 18/12/13

Gardaí at Athenry are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision which occurred on the M6 at Newford, Athenry, Co Galway at approximately 7pm last evening 18/12/13.

Three vehicles were involved in the collision, all travelling westbound towards Galway. Five people were taken to University Hospital Galway. A five year old female was subsequently transferred to Temple St hospital in Dublin. Her condition is described as serious.
