Fatal road traffic collision at Garryhesta, Cork on the 8/12/13

Gardaí at Ballincollig are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the Cork to Macroom Road (N22) in an area known as Garryhesta at approximately 5.15pm today (8/12/13).

A male motorcyclist was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a wall at the above location. No other person was involved. 
 

His body remains at the scene. 
 

The road is closed to facilitate a Garda forensic examination.
