Gardai at Blanchardstown have arrested a man and woman and seized cannabis, (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €40,000.
At approximately 8pm last night, Friday 13th December, 2013 Gardai from the traffic unit in Blanchardstown were conducting a checkpoint on the N7 and stopped a motor car. A search of the car took place and cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €40,000 (pending analysis) was discovered.
The man (late 30s) and woman (mid 20s) were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
