Cash-in-transit robbery Co. Meath 13th December 2013

Gardai in Ashbourne are appealing for information following a cash-in-transit robbery in Ratoath, Co. Meath, on the 13th December 2013.

A approximately 2pm two males armed with an imitation firearm threatened and held up a security guard outside a service station on Fairyhouse Road. They took a cash box (containing an undisclosed sum of money) and left the scene in a silver Mazda car. The car was abandoned a short distance away at Cairn Court. An imitation firearm was recovered inside the car. There were no reported injuries during the incident.

Investigating Gardai are appealing for information and in particular any sightings of a silver coloured Mazda Premacy car (partial registration "00 SO”) with two males onboard in the vicinity of Ratoath Village shortly before 2pm this afternoon (13/12/2013).
