Arrest - Fatal stabbing in Limerick on the 10/11/13

Gardai investigating the murder of Paddy Redmond at an apartment on Dock Road, Limerick on the 10th of November 2013 have arrested a female in her 40’s this afternoon in connection with the investigation.

She is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Henry Street Garda Station.

Gardai in Henry Street are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred at an apartment on Dock Road, Limerick.

At approximately 2am this morning Gardai were called to the apartment in relation to a male in his 60’s who had been stabbed. The male was brought to University Hospital Limerick where he was later pronounced dead.

The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
