One man arrested in relation to seizure of puppies Dublin Port 11th Oct 2012

As a result of a joint operation between Gardai, Customs Officers and Officers of the D.S.P.C.A. a van was stopped and searched at Dublin Port on the 11th October 2012. During the search of the van 56 puppies were discovered.

A males (46yrs) was arrested at the scene shortly after 8pm and taken to Store Street Garda Station.  He has since being released, investigations are ongoing.

Officers from the D.S.P.C.A. have taken the pups  into quarantine and safety.
