Armed Robbery on the 18/10/12 - Court appearance today 19th Ocober

A male is due to appear in the Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon (19th October) following an armed robbery at a bookmakers in the Rathfarnham area yesterday, 18th October, 2012.

At approximately 14.30hrs on the 18th October,  a 28 year old male entered a bookmakers in Whitechurch armed with a firearm and demanded cash. He made his escape, but was apprehended a short distance from the premises. The firearm and cash were recovered and the male was taken to Rathfarnham Garda station and held under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.
