The Casualty Reduction Strategy launched on the 1/10/12 - educational initiative

The Casualty Reduction Strategy was launched on the 1st October and will run for 8 weeks.

Its aim is to reduce the number of people killed and seriously injured in the Dublin area. As an educational initiative, An Garda Síochána together with the National Transport Authority and the Road Safety Authority will be distributing an assortment of high visibility merchandise to vulnerable roads users on Dame Street on Friday, the 2nd November 2012 between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.

In particular a limited supply of highly visible LED bicycle lights, which have been provided by the NTA, will be distributed to cyclists who require them for their bicycles and who wish to improve their road safety whilst being compliant with Road Traffic laws.
