A woman in her 40's is due before a special sitting of Carlow District Court this evening, the 8th November charged in relation to a drug seizure in the town yesterday.
As part of a planned operation Gardai seized cannabis plants during search of house . The search was carried out by members of the Carlow Drugs and Detective Units. Most of the plants were fully grown and found in the upstairs of the house. The drugs are believed to have a street value of approximately €250,000 pending analysis.
The woman was arrested and detained at Carlow Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
