Please find below press release issued on behalf of the PSNI Press Office. All enquiries to PSNI Press Office on 04890 700085.

Police in Strabane and the family of missing woman Bernie Garvan are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety.

Fifty four year old Bernie from the Milltown Road area of Tuam in Co Galway is believed to have left her silver vehicle with a southern registration at a friend’s house in the Urney road area of Clady Strabane sometime on Sunday 18 November.  She is described as 5' 6" tall, of medium build with short spiked black hair.

A woman fitting Bernie’s description was seen around 6pm last night walking along the road towards the Clady Bridge into the ROI.  The woman was only dressed in a denim shirt and denim jeans even though it was raining heavily.

Police are asking Bernie to contact them or her family to let them know she is safe and well.  Anyone who knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact detectives at Strabane.
