Renewed appeal for assistance in relation to the murder of Michael Gallagher on the 18/1/07

Gardaí at Tallaght Garda Station are renewing their appeal for assistance from the public in relation to the Murder of Michael Gallagher at his home at 49 Tymonville Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24 on 18th January 2007 at around 10:06pm.

At approximately 10.06pm on Thursday the 18th January 2007, Michael Gallagher and his partner were at home in 49 Tymonville Road, Tallaght. A knock came to the front door and was answered by Michael Gallagher’s partner.  Two males entered the house and went to the kitchen area where an unprovoked attack took place on Michael Gallagher. During the assault he sustained a fatal knife wound to the body. The assailants then left the house and fled the scene on foot.  Michael’s partner was also injured in this attack.
 

The Gardaí at Tallaght are seeking information in relation to any suspicious activity observed in the Tymonville area of Tallaght on the evening of 18th January 2007, and can be contacted at 01 - 6666000.  In particular Gardaí are asking the publics assistance for any sightings of two males who were seen on the roadway near the home place of Michael Gallagher around 10 p.m. on the evening of the incident.
