Further Update - Armed robbery Walkinstown Avenue, Dublin on the 14/7/12

Gardai in Crumlin have arrested a fourth person as person as part of their investigation into an armed robbery at Walkinstown Ave on the 14th July.

A male, aged in his 40's, was arrested this afternoon (17/7/12) in the Tallaght area and is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Terenure Garda Station.


Two men and woman arrested yesterday remain in Garda custody.

Gardai from Crumlin investigating the armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van at a service station on Walkinstown Avenue on Saturday, the 14th July 2012 this afternoon carried out a search and arrest operation.

As part of ongoing investigations into the sale Gardai from Crumlin investigating the armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van at a service station on Walkinstown Avenue on Saturday, the 14th July 2012 this afternoon carried out a search and arrest operation.

During the operation a number of houses were searched in the South Dublin area and Gardai recovered firearm and a large amount of cash.  A female aged in her 20's and two males aged in their 40's and 20's were arrested. 
 

They are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Crumlin and Sundrive Road Garda Stations.
