Drug seizure at Ballymount, Dublin on the 21/7/12

As part of an intelligence led investigation into a Dublin based Organised Crime Group (OCG), a joint operation led by the Garda National Drugs Unit and Revenue's Customs Service assisted by the Organised Crime Unit was carried out today (21/7/12) at an industrial premises at Ballymount, Dublin 12.

106kgs of herbal cannabis and 112kgs of cannabis resin (pending analysis) with an estimated street value of €2.6million were seized.  No arrests were made.

Investigations are continuing into the origin and destination of the drugs.
