Armed robberyin Clondalkin, Dublin on the 30/12/12 – three arrested

Gardai have arrested three males as part of an investigation into an armed robbery at premises on Tower Road, Clondalkin, this morning (30/12/2012).

At approximately 8am three males entered a retail premises on Tower Road armed with an imitation firearm and knives. They threatened staff before making off on foot with a quantity of cigarettes and cash.

Three men were apprehended and arrested by uniformed Gardai in the vicinity a short time later. An imitation firearm, 2 knives, along with all of the property taken was recovered. A motor car believed to have been stolen earlier in the Lucan area was also located.

The men, who are all aged in their 20s, are currently detained under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Clondalkin Garda Station.

There was no reported injures and the investigation is ongoing.
