Marlay Park Concerts 23rd, 24th and 25th August 2012 - Update Day 3

An Garda Síochána and promoters MCD have worked closely together with the other stakeholders to ensure that the patrons attending the three concerts had a safe and enjoyable experience.

We wish to acknowledge the co-operation and good behaviour of the patrons of the three concerts which went off without any serious issues.

Concert goer's have been subject to searches and An Garda Síochána, promoters MCD and Dun Laoighaire Rathdown  County Council would like to acknowledge the co-operation and  good behaviour of those attending the concerts. We also wish to acknowledge the cooperation of the local residence and the community around Marley Park.

Arrests over the course of the three concerts:

- 18 persons on the 23rd

- 35 persons on the 24th

- 0  persons on the 25th

These arrests were for public order and minor drug offences (Section 3 Misuse of Drugs Act).

A considerable amount of alcohol was also seized or surrender by patrons as they entered the venue.

A number of patrons were refused entry for reasons outlined as a condition of entry. Over 412 ticket holders under 17 years obtained an advance refund offered by MCD for David Guetta as this concert was a strictly an over 17 years event as stated on ticket.
