As part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs an operation was carried out by the Garda National Drugs Unit/ Ronanstown Drugs Unit and the Revenue Customs Services this evening (29/8/12).
Cocaine with an estimated street value of €140,000 (subject to analysis) was seized following the search of a car in the Lucan area. One man in his mid 30’s was arrested at the scene.
In a follow up operation a house was searched and an amount of cash seized. Another man in his mid 30’s was arrested at this scene.
Both men are currently detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. They are both expected to appear before Dublin District Court tomorrow morning.
Investigations are continuing.
