The four men arrested this morning in relation to the firearms incident have been released without charge this evening, Saturday 24th September, 2011.
 
A file will be prepared and forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardai in Tallaght are investigating a firearm incident that occured at approximately 3am this morning Saturday 24th September, 2011 at Brookview Rise, Tallaght.
 
A number of males tried to gain entry to a house at Brookview Rise and in failing to do so left the scene in a silver motorcar.  The car was located a short distance away.  Gardai arrested four males, their ages ranging from late 20's to late 30's. 
 
The four men are all detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939, on unlawful possession of a firearm. 

Two men, are detained in Rathfarnham Garda Station and two are detained in Tallaght Garda Station.
