Shooting incident in Ballyfermot, Dublin on the 28/11/11 - Press briefing

Gardai will hold a press briefing, in relation to this mornings (28/11/11) shooting incident, at 1.30 pm at Ballyfermot Garda Station.

Gardai in Ballyfermot are investigating the circumstances of of a shooting incident on Cherry Orchard Avenue on the 28th November 2011, a man (in his late 30's) was fatally injured.

The shooting incident occurred shortly before 7am when a man sitting in a van was shot. His body remains at the scene which has been sealed off for a technical examination. The office of the State pathologist has been contacted.
