Murder inquiry in Bandon, Cork - Body of man recovered from River Bandon on the 15/11/11

Gardaí in Bandon investigating recent incidents in the town have recovered the body of a second man believed to be in his 40’s from the River Bandon.

The body was recovered at approximately 11.45am this morning (15/11/11) a few hundred metres down stream from the Bridge House in Bandon and has been removed to Cork University Hospital for a Post Mortem examination. 
 

The Office of the State Pathologists has been notified and investigations are continuing. 
 

Gardaí are appealing to any person who may have information or who may have seen anything suspicious in the general area between 8pm on Saturday 12th November and 12 midnight on Sunday 13th November to contact the Incident Room at Bandon Garda Station 023-8852200, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

A male and female aged in their 30's are expected to appear before a special sitting of  Bandon District Court at 5.30pm this evening (15/11/2011).

They are charged in relation to the above investigation.

Gardaí in Bandon investigating the discovery of the body of a 27 year old man in the river Bandon at approximately 11pm on the 13th November 2011 have launched a murder inquiry.

Gardai have named the deceased as Jonathan Duke from Bandon.

A post mortem was carried out on the deceased yesterday evening at Cork University Hospital. Investigation on going.
