Dean Johnson Murder Investigation - Further Arrest

Gardaí investigating this murder have made another arrest. Earlier this evening, Tuesday 22nd November 2011, a 24 year old female was arrested in West Dublin.

She is presently detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station under Section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.

The 2 men are still being detained so the total now in custody is 3.

Gardaí investigating the murder of Dean Johnson on Moorfield Avenue last May (2011) have arrested 2 men this morning, Monday 21st November 2011.

The 33 year and 26 year olds were arrested in the Dublin area and both are detained in Lucan and Ronanstown Garda Stations under Section 50 of The Criminal Justice Act.

They are the first people to be arrested with regards the investigation.

We are also renewing our appeal to the public for assistance.  Any witnesses to the shooting or anyone with information to offer are asked to contact Gardaí at Ronanstown on 01 6667700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardaí in Ronanstown have launched a murder investigation following a shooting incident at Moorfield Ave, Clondalkin at approximately 9pm on the 25th of May 2011.  

A 20 year old male was shot as he sat in a car on Moorfield Avenue. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.    

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
