Witness appeal - Hit and run Run traffic collision on Kevin Street on the 25/2/11

Gardai in Kevin Street are investigating a hit and run road traffic collision that occured at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday 25th February, 2011 on Kevin Street just outside Kevin Street Garda Station.

On this day, (which happened to be the day of the general election) a pedal cyclist was knocked from his bike by a taxi, which is described as being gold/yellow/beige in colour.  The male cyclist (47 yrs) was removed to hospital with shoulder injuries and was later discharged having received medical attention. 

 
Despite extensive investigations carried out in the locality and with the Taxi Regulator the Gardai have failed to locate the driver of this vehicle.
