Gardai in Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the Claremorris to Ballyhaunis Road near Brickens at approximately 9pm on the 5.03.11.
A male in his early 30’s was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a wall. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and no one else was injured. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar.
The road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
