Drugs seizure in Meath on the 26/6/11

As a result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Louth / Meath area Gardaí stopped and searched a car at Donnacarney yesterday evening, Sunday 26th June 2011, shortly after 9pm.

The driver of the car, a 38 year old man, was arrested after Diamorphine (heroin), with a potential street value of €150,000 (subject to analysis), was seized.

He is presently in custody under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act at Navan Garda Station

The operation was carried out by the Garda National Drugs Unit who were assisted by the Laytown Drugs Unit.
